Christina Aguilera is flying up the iTunes charts with new single ‘Fall In Line’ – which at writing sits at #3 on the US store.
The Demi Lovato collaboration, which serves as the official lead single from Xtina’s 8th album ‘Liberation,’ was gifted a streaming boost moments ago – courtesy of Carpool Karaoke.
Video In-Article Ad (Desktop)See, when the diva saddled up for the popular segment several weeks ago, many scratched their heads as to why her was so short compared to others.
Video In-Article Ad (Desktop)Well, as it turns out, the performance of ‘Fall In Line’ was omitted and saved for after its formal premiere.
Video In-Article Ad (Desktop)Will the move, which is somewhat of a first for ‘Carpool,’ prove a smart one for Aguilera? Given her soaring performance, we feel so!

Video In-Article Ad (Desktop)Christina remains of the few voices in music that can make one stop, look, and listen intently.
Video In-Article Ad (Desktop)Her vocal is so commanding and this made for an especially epic listen because she showcased masterful skill – belting where needed and restraining elsewhere to highlight some of the lesser appreciated corners of her vast range.

This is better than the studio version. If xtina has this much control when she does it live I will be so pleased. I love it!
Now why didn’t she sing like this for that botched Whitney tribute?
She’s so damn inconsistent.
You try singing a medley of some of Whitney’s prime vocal songs! What a mindless thing to say. Real vocalists have good and bad days. She did James Brown justice! Anywho, this Carpool has me more geeked for the performance!
Plenty of people have done it..
What audiences don’t realise is that a host of things can throw even the most prepared singer off vocally and have them sounded a mess moments before they hit the stage.., a dancer who moments before the stage sprays themself with deodorant, hairspray or perfume can have your throats inflamed in seconds. Beyoncé has a strict list of demands including which scents can and cannot be sprayed backstage before she performs, but not everyone has her clout. Xtina sounded a mess throughout the Whitney tribute so I” guessing she was either ill or her nasal/vocal folds were inflamed. ^The above shows she still has it in spades so I can forgive her previous poor showing.
All those writers at TGJ and they STAY late on the real news that all the other media spilled T on like Whitney dragging Paula’s name because she sings off-key. Yaaaaaaaasssss Nippy!!!
THANK YOU for being so incredibly supportive of this era for Christina. I am very pleased with the level of critical praise that you’ve offered for every step of this LIBERATION roll out.
Christina is just not as technically sound as some vocalist. She has a beautiful voice no doubt. Just needs to keep taking lessons. Like that Beyonce person
Beyoncé’s voice at Coachella was like a goat many times. She lost her voice.
She’s a vocal BEAST!!
The voice of our generation. Period
No one between 00’s – 10’s came close to her .. its not about ‘singing’ she might not be able to sing like her prime BUT
Its about having that signature tone and sound .. Whintey, mariah, celine, toni (even tho she’s very undertated) and christina .. these voices Which comes 1 in a million.. almost 20 years and we didn’t have a vocalist with a signature rich tone like Xtina. Longest running vocal queen.
I would add Adele to that list
Yes, I would say Adele too. It’s their tones that make them instantly memorable on record, not just what they can do technically. I would love to hear what Mariah, Xtina and Adele might sound like with Beyonce’s voice care discipline. They are gifted vocally in a way that Beyoncé isn’t so she works 10 x times harder to preserve what she has in order to stand next to the greats for technical merit alone, if not vocal specialness.
James has never sounded so terrible lol
This song is a grower, I’m sure I would have listened to it if it was on Back to Basics (that’s still not the level of Stripped)
