Published: Wednesday 4th Dec 2019 by Sam

Taylor Swift is coming to Netflix.

The Pop titan initially announced the venture during her highly publicised spat with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta; for, she stressed that the pair were installing hurdles to prevent her from licensing her own songs for the production.

With that drama seemingly in rearview, the streaming giant have officially announced ‘Taylor Swift: Miss Americana.’ And they are rolling out the red carpet for its seismic launch.

Full story below…

Directed by Lana Wilson, the documentary film will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 23rd.

As for what viewers can expect? Netflix bill it as:

“A raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice.”

Swift is the latest top tier name to team with Netflix, following in the footsteps of critically and commercially successful efforts from the likes of Beyonce (‘Homecoming’) and Lady Gaga (‘Five Foot Two’).
