Year in Review: Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, & DaBaby Became 2019’s Breakout Stars

Published: Tuesday 31st Dec 2019 by Rashad

Scribbled in history books for some good, bad, ugly, and everything in between, 2019 brought with it some of entertainment’s most memorable moments.

Now, as the year draws to a close, TGJ is reflecting on our favorite moments that rocked – and to some degree maybe even reshaped – the Urban and Pop cultural landscape as we know it.

Next, we look back on the year’s breakout stars:

Many new names came and went in 2019, but some made such major stamps on Billboard charts, the Recording Industry Association of America, and more, it’s hard to believe they won’t be around for years to come.

While we look forward to what they have to offer, TGJ’s taking a moment to reflect on the newcomers (and relative newcomers) who made big moves over the last 12 months.  Highlights below:

Stop trying to make normani happen.

Every musician in this article achieved something big except normani.

Roddy rich, da baby , billie ellish etc didnt receive hype and shout outs from different celebrities on Instagram and Twitter and their careers took off organically.

Normani on the other hand cant start her career after all the hype and cosign.
    Motivation flopped.
