Minaj recorded a track named ‘I’m Getting Ready‘ with Tasha Cobbs and has now learned that it walked away with the Song of the Year award at BMI’s Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards.
It was co-written by Todd Galberth.
‘Ready‘ appears on Cobbs’ album ‘Heart. Passion.Pursuit’ and bagged the award after Minaj watched two of her singles (see ‘Say So‘s remix and ‘Trollz‘) top the Billboard Hot 100 within weeks of each other.

i mean its an accomplishment but come on now fans, she can’t make moves as a solo act ONLY as a feature. and dont talk about how many years she’s been in the game cuz the moment she got some real heat she stumbled and hasn’t recovered yet.
You forget she’s a rapper. Most rappers discographies are comprised of mainly features/collabs. Also, its not like she’s doing these verses for free, if you were getting 250k per verse, you’d jump on everyone’s tracks too. Plus she once said that she loves doing features because she puts less pressure on herself and has more fun with those verses.

Glad to see I’m Getting Ready getting the recognition it deserves…finally. It’s a great song. People these days can’t seem to stop judge mental for long enough to just listen to the message of a song.

I’m really glad that they released this song cause I was exposed to gospel music and tasha Cobb’s through it,it doesn’t matter what people think many lives were changed through this song I believe this song has gotten an award it deserved if Nicki ever decides to go into gospel music the barbs have got her back
