Miley Cyrus has unleashed her inner rock star.
The singer appeared during the virtual Save Our Stage Fest, where she performed a couple covers as well as her latest single, ‘Midnight Sky.’
Backed by a six-piece band, the 27-year-old took the stage at the Whisky a Go Go to rock out to The Cure‘s ‘Boys Don’t Cry,’ The Cranberries’ ‘Zombie,’ and ‘Midnight Sky.’
Before stepping off stage, Cyrus said:
“We’re here at the Whisky a Go Go, where so many of our favorite artists have begun their journey to be icons. And without venues like the Whisky, we might have never heard of artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Guns N’ Roses and thousands of other bands. So let’s do whatever we can to keep this historic landmark alive.”

I underestimated Miley. She’s one of the most versatile artists of HER time (compared to her peers).
She is bringing it this era. Rock keeps Miley in her bag. I’d love to hear more of this.

Dolores is one of my favorite voices, may she RIP.
Miley handled her own, it’s not an easy song to sing, beyond the fact it’s a classic and people are used to the original arrangement and all the signature vocals.
She sounded ok but she went for very forceful vocals and I like how Dolores sang this in a subtle way in contrast to the darkness of the lyrics.

Most versatile singer out there along with Beyoncé, but gotta give it to Miley every time she does something she really goes in with outfits, visuals etc that match the genre. Coming to think of it I would love to see her and Taylor Momsen duet, but in a The Voice battle kind of way. S*** rock blond style.
