It’s here!

Lady Gaga has unleashed ‘Hold My Hand’ – the anthemic theme song from the ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ movie.

Produced by Mother Monster along with BloodPop and Benjamin Rice, the release sees the multihyphenate take vocal flight as only she can.

Already generating Oscar buzz, could the haunting hymn follows in the footsteps of ‘Shallow’ and serve as Gaga’s next Academy Award win for Best Original Song? Time will tell.

In the here and now, take a listen to the power ballad after the jump…

We approve. Do you?

She always make sure her soundtrack songs only have three writers so she can be nominated for that oscar.. she so calculated.

Her voice is great, and I especially like the bridge and the repeated “hold my hand” in the outro, but outside of that, I wish they had given a little more attention to the melody to set the song apart from similar ballads. Not iconic, but far from bad.

As good as the vocals are, I can almost hear Carrie Underwood pushing it a tad more.

Needs more of a hook but she sings the hell out of it! Bet it will sound great in the theater tho.
