New Song: Lil Nas X – ‘Late to Da Party’ (featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again)

Published: Thursday 23rd Jun 2022 by Rashad

Lil Nas X‘s ‘Late to Da Party’ dropped early Friday morning (June 24) and fans of the GRAMMY winner couldn’t be more elated.

Teased via a series of fake promotional ads – including one that slick dissed the BET Awards for omitting him from their nominations tally –  the new tune features fellow chart-topping rapper NBA YoungBoy (also known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again).

Keeping the diss going, ‘Party’ starts with LNX chanting “f*ck BET” before launching into the tune’s braggadocious lyrics.

“Everything I do, b*tch, right or wrong, gon’ make a profit / Read about it / I don’t even gotta sing about it / I wake up with the money that you n*ggas dream about,” he croons over the TakeADayTrip-produced beat.

Hear it in full inside.

You all were angry because he’s not a Chris Brown lookalike. You want a masculine caricature with light eyes who “doesn’t do too much” and is lowkey.

I’ve seen worse antics from the scamming queens in Atlanta on social media.

But I have to say my patience is running thin with Lil Nas X. The excuse that “straight rappers don’t want to work with him”…um, everything you touch turns to gold. You don’t NEED straight rappers.

How about you use your platform to put on a new GAY artist? A lesbian? A Black gay man? (Or is he afraid of healthy competition?) Instead of complaining about homophobic DL rappers.

I was already irritated with Josh Harlow, but NBA Young Boy? REALLY?

What was the point of standing out if all he wants to do is fit in?

No, we want someone with discernible talent. We have enough low vibrational untalented rappers. Is he even a rapper or singer? I don’t understand what he does. One thing he is good at is trolling/marketing. The shtick will run out soon….it already is. How’s his tour selling?

This only-in-it-for-money troll was told silly gimmicks are what made early Eminem popular. So he’s acting dumb and calling it “music” for profit. Show how your sort get disowned, evicted, fired, or typecast (in movies AND in hetero circles) for being different. Not the recreational side of the community. One more lost opportunity to use art to heal life…

Bragging about his money ? Good for him, no one gives a fu<k.
He’s so predictable… he’s got nothing to sing about. Or rap. Or whatever he does because he can’t sing nor rap.

I dunno how any man or woman could let this weak little adolescent body queen top them.
