JT has made no secret of the fact that he’s been cooking up material in the studio.
Nor have his collaborators such as Timbaland – who has been particularly vocal about the performer prepping a comeback.
Even the brief re-grouping with NYSNC for the ‘Trolls Band Together’ soundtrack was quickly contextualized as being a quick stop on the way to a solo album and tour.
Now, the singer has set fans into a frenzy by wiping his social media and changing his profile picture to a piercing snap of his eyes.
Suffice to it to say, the 42-year-old’s supporters will be watching his movements closely – as such practice has often preluded the announcement and unveiling of new music.
Timberlake’s as yet untitled release will serve as his firs traditional effort as the lead artist since 2018’s polarizing ‘Man of the Woods.’
In the time since, the once unstoppable star has found his name embroiled in headlines largely for non-musical reasons. Namely past conduct relating to Janet Jackson and Britney Spears – both of whom he offered a belated public apology to in 2021.
Attempting to find his footing anew in a cultural climate that arguably has been giving him a seismic side-eye in recent years, Timberlake been testing the waters with remix collaborations with the likes of Jung Kook and Coco Jones.
Now, it appears he may be ready to make a splash once again on his own accord.
