First-Week Sales Prediction: Demi Lovato to Miss the Top 10 for the First Time in Her Career with New Album ‘It’s Not That Deep’

Published: Tuesday 28th Oct 2025 by Rashad

Demi Lovato‘s ninth studio album, the October 24-released ‘It’s Not That Deep,’ is trumpeted as her long-awaited return to Pop after her polarizing detour to Rock with 2022’s ‘Holy Fvck.’

If industry analysts’ prediction about its first-week sales are anything to judge by, however, she may have turned some fans off permanently with that switch-up.

Demi’s ‘It’s Not That Deep’

Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS): 26,000

Predicted First-Week Sales (Pure): 19,000

Predicted First-Week Billboard 200 Debut: #13

According to HDD, ‘Deep’ is set to open just outside of the Billboard 200’s top 10 with total sales of 26,000.

If the prediction rings true, it will mark her lowest first-week opening on the chart as well as her lowest first-week sales for a studio effort.

Her previous career-low debut came courtesy of the #7 bow attained by 2022’s ‘Fvck.’

Released on the heels of singles ‘Fast,’ ‘Here All Night,’ and ‘Kiss,’ ‘Deep’ is uniquely her first project to charge to Billboard 200 battle without a Hot 100-charting single to its credit.

With only 3,000 copies keeping her from being among next week’s top 10 on the Billboard 200, however, there is still enough time in this sales tracking week for the Pop diva to catch up.

Keep it locked to That Grape Juice for more on this story as it develops.

She needs to release that ballad at the end of the record since it’s getting cold outside! This album should have been out in the summer, so many cute bops to dance to. Oh well
