Danity Kane’s long-running tensions have erupted once again, and this time, it’s over a festival flyer that has sparked major confusion and even bigger backlash.
As reported, the drama centers on a Los Angeles Block Party announcement that appeared to promote the full group, only for fans to learn that not all members were on board.
What followed was a swift and pointed response from the group’s official social channels, calling out what they claim is “misleading” promotion.
Now, freshly issued statements have confirmed drama and dissension, while throwing fuel on the fiery furnace.

According to a report by TMZ, D. Woods and Aundrea Fimbres issued a joint statement in response to the initial statement by the group’s pages, defending their position and doubling down on the legitimacy of the performance under the group’s name.
It read:
“The flyer advertising Danity Kane’s performance at the LA Block Party… is not false advertisement. Danity Kane will be there.
Danity Kane was built with five founding members, and over the past twenty years, the group has gone through multiple iterations. This upcoming performance… is simply another evolution of the Danity Kane brand.
It will feature official Danity Kane members… performing Danity Kane songs for Danity Kane fans. The announcement made very clear which band members would be participating, so there was no misleading on anyone’s part.
To be clear, there is no false advertising. Danity Kane will be at the LA Block Party.
We also want to address claims that anyone is being excluded… plans were in place to include Aubrey O’Day in 2026 for a 20-year anniversary celebration. Aubrey declined to participate and refused to sign the paperwork.”
Clapping back at the claims, O’Day hit X with a statement of her own:
“Everything that was stated about my choices in this article is a lie. We had a group meeting to decide whether we wanted to move onto the 2026 tour dates available. D pointed out that they were for a lot less money, I wanted to make sure that I felt comfortable being around them, and collectively- we decided to hold until our final tour date in the first run to make a decision. It was a group decision and the agent who was on speaker agreed on the group decision, and can validate the above as facts. I brought the Tour forward. I worked with the agent to bring as many dates possible. I (chose the high road) and contacted Everyone to return, regardless of who said they wouldn’t work with who.
I started out the year with two potential arena tours and a huge UK deal for the group in front of 10,000 people. They turned all of this down in order to become a duo under the name Danity Kane. To be clear- When it was Shannon and Aubrey as a duo, we changed the name to dumblonde. When Dawn and I were a duo, we changed the name to Strawberry Milk.
When Shannon, Dawn and I spent over a decade touring this group and building its legacy as the only members willing to come back, we called ourselves DK3- as all of us felt that was the most respectful thing to do for the fans and for our brand. I wanted this last tour to be called DK3 as well, I was not in the majority of this decision. I’m choosing to no longer engage in this circus-anyone that knows me knows I’m always ready to take the stage, I can put all beef to the side and always create a great show.. and as someone who is the only member to have been part of every iteration of this group, and brought all tours over the years back to DK.. there is no one more heartbroken to see it end in such an unsettling, offputting way.
The remainder of the girls in Danity Kane have all expressed feelings of disappointment as well. I wish these girls the best of luck. Dawn is still on stage killing it and I support her career. And I will continue to tour as I always have, and I will be touring under my own name.”
An unmitigated mess!

this would be a perfect time to greenlight a new show piecing this group back together for 20th anniversary reunion. it would only work with all 5 though.
