Let’s not overstate Beyoncé’s “accomplishment.” The only reason “Get Me Bodied” charted so high this week is because of that really inspirational video of the woman getting that mastectomy that went viral. Every single view of the video counted towards Billboard’s streaming component, which helped boost Beyoncé chart position. So it’s not so much about the song as it is about the video that featured the song. Also iTunes R&B charts are LITERALLY the most irrelevant charts known to man. In my opinion, Rihanna’s accomplishment of being at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 (the only singles chart that matters) is the only valid one. And it looks like it will probably reach #1 by next week and stay there until Christmas LOL. And with the “What Now” video coming out this week, it looks RihSeason is once again upon us.
