Today a multitude of online retailers have gone live with listings for a four-disc “Platinum” edition of ‘Beyonce’ that is slated for release on November 24th – the week of Black Friday.

No word yet on what the set will comprise of, but its arrival comes at the most apt (and interesting) of times.
Heading into the lucrative Holiday season, the release will likely give the album a sales boost (adding to its already impressive totals worldwide). What’s more, depending on what it comes packaged with (i.e. new songs, collaborations, videos etc), it could give the entire project a whole new lease of life from a creative standpoint.
It’s super intriguing to see that the date its set to hit stores is the same day Bey’s ‘Flawless’ comrade Nicki Minaj will be releasing her third album ‘The Pinkprint’. And while some may side-eye, the reality is that both ladies could easily benefit from their respective fanbases heading out to stores on the same day.

“Beyonce” was a great album but this does look like a money making thing! Re-releasing close to Christmas. Lately Jay and Beyonce have been everywhere with touring like he did with JT and she toured solo then they went on tour together so soon after she ended her tour. Hey if her fans are willing to fork out the cash for another ticket/album/dvd then it’s their choice but not being a stan myself I wouldn’t be able to keep buying and forking out for anyone I even stanned for. Will she even promote the re-release or just release it with no tv appearances and performances? The least she can do is go out there and perform on tv shows and give her fans LIFEEEE!
