FOX‘s freshman smash ‘Empire’ is the show on everyone’s lips…and for good reason.
The music-drama serves up a potent package of sass, drama, glamor, and jaw-dropping storylines revolving around the Lyon family – anchored by Luscious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).

Every week I sit and contemplate this shows next move based on the little snippets they show, and every week they never fail to surprise me with something totally unexpected. Raven as Jamal’s baby momma?!?!?!? This honestly is the best show on TV with a predominately black cast. The writing is A-1, casting is A-1, even the music is on point (minus a few of Hakeem’s tracks). I’d love to see them bring in Mo’Nique, possibly as Lucious’ sister or something. Her and Cookie going at it would definitely be a hit!
I’m loving this show. This and Haves and Have Nots are my two must watches right now.
