Pop superstar Janet Jackson appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show earlier this week to perform and officially announce her upcoming tour – her first trek in 7 years. Check out the performances – of ‘Rhythm Nation’ and ‘LUV’ as well as the tour announcement below:

She nailed both performances, for real! I’m guessing it’s all but confirmed that ‘LUV’ is the next single and rightfully so. In other Janet news, it has been confirmed that she will join Mariah, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Nelly etc as a performer at the upcoming BET Awards. {Source}

Please dont include Ciara in your rambling, Why does everyone have to be compared with one another. Janet is in a class of her own, she is a legend. Ciara is not trying to be like her, Ciara,s influence is Micheal Jackson, not Janet. people always try to shove that down Ciara’s throat. janet did a good job for a 42 year old woman. Janet is having trouble selling albums and she has no recent hits. So actually it’s Janet who? Dont try to play Ciara and Beyonce because they can actually make current hits. janet is a has been.

Ummm actually Ciara is trying to be like Aaliyah (sp) and anybody wit half a brain can see the comparison between the two..now Janet is in a class all her own!! Sorry youngin…please believe that older people who used to dance they asses off when they were young most times can still dance they asses off when they are old…holla!!

And ciara has admitted in Vibe magazine that she get’s her influence from Janet Jackson! so sit on that. If janet is a has been and a nuffing then y is she still making achievements to this very day. lets see where all these “young girls” are 26 years after the start of there music careers.. ps. i love the complicity between jan & ellen! i would love LUV have a hot cool summer vibe video, these performances are great as usual! jan is so amazing i really hope she’ll come in europe (france in particular) for this “rock witchu” tour! a new fan club, performances to come, a new featuring on the song of Plies (bust it baby remix featuring ne-yo & janet)and maybe new single with new video (luv then 2nite… ????? i hope so) janet is doing her thing without watching album sells, that’s why i love her so much and that’s why she’s here after so many years , even if some who could be unable to be in show bizness call her a has been (what have you done for us lately, guys??? uuuh!!) , and even if haters always compare her to the younger artists, who recognize themselves janet has ever influenced them (ciara didn’t make her own version of feedback?? beyonce didn’t try to recreate the rhythm nation routine on a award performance??? rihanna hasn’t said she’s a fan of janet??? …no end list…)
