“Are you the only gay men on ‘Love & Hip-Hop?”
Wendy Williams has made a career out of not holding back. So, it’s little surprise that the former shock-jock went “there” when chatting to Milan Christopher and Miles Brock from ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood’ today.
The openly gay rappers, who are also a couple, stopped by to chat to the daytime maven about their decision to walk in their truth.
Naturally, conversation expanded to the broader topic of homosexuality in Hip-Hop – and the articulate pair didn’t shy away from sharing their two-cents.
Beyond re-affirming that there’s a lot folk don’t see behind the scenes in the music business, they interestingly seemed to take a thinly-veiled jab at Frank Ocean for his one-foot in/one-foot out approach to “coming out.”

Being gay is a sad state of being. Gay men usually don’t have a long relationship shelf life. They basically work all week, roam the internet each day looking for a “new piece or trick”. Hook up and keep doing the same vicious cycle for the next 20 years of there life.

I wouldn’t really label it as a jab or a shot. There are plenty of people who still feel like Frank only “came out” for the publicity, he certainly wasn’t getting any before that.

I won’t talk about gay people in general because the reality is the majority are more low key and respectable than the louder, messier and way more noticeable bad examples in the community. That said, one thing I have to massively disagree with is the idea that visibility alone is progress. It isn’t progress if the focus is still only on the usual shallow, stunt queen gays in Hiphop. These two sound juvenile as F***, leading his beard on for years like it’s a funny anecdote and then breaking up over some Instagram nonsense. Progress would be if a credible Keldrick King type came out, not these fake so-called gay rappers, who were probably hairdressers and stylists before they got scouted for L&H.
