Coming courtesy of Roc Nation, the youngest of the famed Smith clan drops her inaugural project over 4 years since her debut single ‘Whip My Hair’ saw her locked at the top of charts (as well as a string of EPs and other musical outings).

They try too hard to be educated on the most irrelevant s*** and make music they think is artistic and indie when they fail to see nobody is checking for it because we don’t believe it’s naturally who they are.

So, who is Willow really? She couldn’t be the same 11 year talking about “I whip my hair back and forth, I whip my hair back ad forth” could she?

      • 2bad2bme December 11, 2015

No but that sound is what made people like her now she’s making music for hippies and druggies so we are just confused and concerned that’s all!

The reason that I love this is because here we have a 15 year old who drops an album called Ardipithecus not because she thinks it’s going to be successful ( of course it won’t be) but because she can. I like this attitude in a young artist. Once things begin to settle a bit, her work could blossom.

Call me crazy, I like it.

I’m really liking this cd from her. I’m impressed. Well, not that much impressed, cause i already liked her cover of Human Behaviour by Bjork.

I can see where she is coming from and i hope people don’t see her only as a child, but as an artist trying things and experimenting.

Willow its cute and everything, but this whole indie im deep thing is not gonna work, not now anyway
take note from Brandy, Aaliyah and Monicas debuts

I like all three of those albums but they were about boys. I don’t think Willow is concerned with that right now.

LOL. I’m gay, and that made me laugh.

And we have to remember that Willow was born in a pile of money, she has no struggle to talk about, no broken home family situations to sing about so I could see why she feels she should dig deeper.

  13. Dev December 11, 2015

Sounding like she’s trying to be SIA in style and Miley mixtape in style

  14. Jay December 12, 2015

    I can’t get into it cause I don’t know what the f*** she’s talking about….

  15. BB December 12, 2015

SIGH. People forget Beyonce did a MASSIVE pre-album tour, Oprah interview, Superbowl, magazine cover, and HBO doc months before her album release………..
Beyonce didn’t just drop without any promo.
These Smith kids are a little entitled.
They don’t know what it’s like to really struggle and WORK HARD as a new artist to earn Beyonce’s success and loyalty from her fans.

    I mean, I guess…

Willow is super intelligent and beyond artistic. Anyone bashing this girl for her creativity must be so closed minded when it comes to music. I gave a listen she is actually saying something much deeper than getting on her knees and twerking…. also shows how unafraid she is to drop something that not everyone would understand.
