News around Tinashe‘s sophomore album, ‘Joyride,’ would be more adequately described as a rollercoaster.
The stageblazing newcomer seemed to get things kicked off right with her Chris Brown-assisted tune, ‘Player,’ and its follow-up, ‘Superlove,’ but from the looks of charts, her offerings haven’t exactly been getting super love from music lovers.
Will another single change the tide for ‘Joyride?’ Tinashe sure hopes so. Details inside:
Rumor has it, ‘Joyride’s official release date will be unveiled Friday (Sept 16) as it will finally be available for pre-order. To commemorate the occasion, the ‘2 On’ singer will also be revealing her new single, ‘Company.’
To tease its debut, T took to social media to reveal its official cover (seen above). Could the video below be our first taste of what to expect from its accompanying visual?

Wasted video treatment on a boring song. Just dumb. Who’s thinking for her? She couldn’t possibly believe that song would smash.
Superlove just got added to many pop radio stations including Z100 so she hasn’t quite moved on but will be offering a R&B midtempo song for the fans.
Unfortunately, you have to be a social climber(being buddy buddy and take pics with other big artists) and have some sort of controversy for people to buy into your music. Tinashe has none of that, what she does have is tenacity and focus on delivering music and still remaining relevant without a hit (for herself of course) since “2 On”. That says something. There’s no reason for her to not to blow up big soon like other artists putting out mediocre singles and winning, as she always give great quality performances. Label, execution and not being a social climber(which I love BTW) is the downfall.
Just remember Natalie LA Rose had a bigger hit in the U.S than Tinashe and has become irrelevant (sad tbh) since then.

Super love was just everything for me. I can’t stop playing it. I really want her to win. There is room for more urban/black females in the game. I think she needs to release a more pop mainstream single. jealous with nick Jonas was great…she needs another song like that to reach a wider audience.

I am in love with this cover, it’s simple yet striking. I hope that the cover is a picture from the video meaning the video has been shot and ready to be released. I want her to win even though I’m not a big fan of hers, she does make some good music “Player” & “Aquarius” are my favorite songs by her, “Pretend” is a close second too. She needs to release the album and if it fails on the charts, build a strong touring base and use that towards her 3rd album.
I respect this girl but why the so many singles….if I were part of her team I would just wait until 2017 to release more music.

fourth single? can’t her team or label have some patience and faith? they burned out Player then they missed out on Ride of Your Life (such a grower! it deserved a video) and now that Superlove (boring song) is finally doing something they’re gonna release a new song. eugh. Damn, I guess 2016 will go down as her “singles year”. Nothing but singles all year… .. She may as hell chalk it and just release an album already. GONE are the days of lead singles to albums. TBH, her Superlove video got A LOT of good reviews and was trending for real for real… And the song is really liked… It kind of grew on me too… If she was to drop a surprise album NOW, I think she’d get good numbers.
The issue is her label doesn’t promote her enough. The singles she releases didn’t get the general public to pat attention because the LACK of promotion. She’s going to get my coins next month for sure! No matter what I’m going to be there for her because she is talented. I’m certain this single is going to get people to pay attention to her and I want for her team to stay consistent with the promotion. “Super Love” is a catchy urban/pop record but I want for Tinashe to release a single that will get people to be like “This chick right here is the real deal.” So far Tinashe has gained interest for those that like her records. In the meanwhile I need for her team to really get it right. Her album is releasing next month and I want people to see that she’s really IT.
What’s the point when the h** has a 20+ year career worth of free music. She’s not a rapper there was no reason to release that many mixtapes. Those mixtapes will be better then And album she release and the label knows it. She killed her own career before it began she’ll stay around making music but she will never be anyone of significant popularity unless she f**** the right men and his well placed friends.
