Black Twitter is back on the troll after tonight’s Jimmy Fallon-hosted Golden Globes saw multiple presenters mix-up two of the year’s most talked about Black films – ‘Fences’ (Denzel Washington, Viola Davis) and ‘Hidden Figures’ (Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer).
Referred to as #HiddenFences on multiple occasions throughout the ceremony, the response to the snafu is a hilarious ongoing Black Twitter clapback that has the phrase #HiddenFences trending as we speak.

Pharrell’s response:
Kii… White haters as usual..
Lmao… White Lives matter, Let them play dumb all they want
We don’t all look alike.
I have not seen either movie but honestly I have also mixed up the movies, not names but just in general when trying to think of them. I say this as a black person and I know I am not the only one. Just being honest, but and award show should get it right. I also didn’t watch the show though.

Side note, if there are multiple movies with black leads to where we can mix them up, that is a good thing. Means our films are being produced and created.
Two movies…chile. It’s ok if average joe mixes up the name, but it’s their job to get it right. They get paid enough to. ?
I didn’t know anything about these two movies until that grape juice posted about them. Then again I only watch anime and design video games . So that could be why
