In what comes as little surprise, Kelly Rowland has also now delayed the release of the International incarnation of her third studio album to next year.
It has been previously confirmed that, though pushed back to 2011 in the US, the worldwide version of the LP would still hit stores on November 29th. Not anymore.

The latest twist in the tale that is Rowland’s 3rd album, came courtesy of the 29 year herself during a Ustream session with fans last night (October 14th).
A humbled Rowland thanked her supporters for their patience, vowing to make sure that the wait was worth it when the album is eventually released.
It was not immediately clear if the two-version concept will remain, or whether one definitive album will be hitting all markets upon release. What is palpable, though, is the fact that Kelly and her team went back to the drawing board at some point over the last few months. Which does beg the question; what will become of the Urban-Dance tracks which made up the first version of the album? By that I mean the likes of ‘On & On’, ‘Each Other’, ‘Forever & A Day’ etc?

I’ve said many a time, but the ‘back to scratch’ approach with the album has both negative and positive potential. On the one hand, the buzz – in comparison to when ‘Commander’ debuted – is dimming. After all, the million dates, directions, and versions, provided has only served to confuse her potential buying audience.
That said, Kelly cultivating a new look (*very important in today’s day and age*), as well as collaborating with A-list hitmakers such as Darkchild, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, and Jermaine Dupri during this re-grouping phase, may very well spawn the hit that will carry the project forward.
It’s very much a waiting game; one which will be interesting to see how plays out.
Randomness: Kelly revealed during the chat that one of the two names she is considering for the album is ‘Kelebrate’ as suggested by a fan. “Celebrate” spelt with a ‘K’. Hmm…

This makes no sense to release singles and music videos when your album, according to you and you and your people, is not even close to being finished. Why even put anything out when you have nothing done? That’s like serving bread at dinner and giving us the utensils, but saying that the water, main course, and dessert will be served at a later date. Why give us the bread when the chicken and potatoes are not even in the oven? Makes no sense to me, and does not make me excited at all for whatever material she plans to push out. It is October 2010. Will her stuff be out this time next year, with seven more videos out before the album?
I have no confidence in this girl, and that is what she needs especially at this critical time in her career. She should have been on the hush hush if her stuff is not finished, or close to being done. Instead of making those music videos, she should have been in the studio. Now that she is in the studio making new songs with more producers, it seems as if there is no guarantee that the songs she made videos for will even be on the album that she has no title for. So it was all a waste of time, effort, and money.

LOST is the only word that describes Kelly and her team’s effort for this era to be successful. I’ve never seen songs released 8 – 12 months before an album drops. I’ve never seen an artist lead with several dance tracks for an pop/r&b album. I’ve never heard of an artist promising all this new excitement with a forth coming album that showcases her new image and new style in music genre to then later find them recruit top producers to fit in with today’s generic sound on the Hot 100 airplay and urban radio charts. I have never seen an artist promise 2 completely different albums (1 for in the states and another internationally)… to later release the same album in both regions that are the complete opposite of what she was building on and developing as an artist everywhere(give this 2weeks, I’m sure it’ll be the outcome). It’s also typical of Kelly to rely on her fans to name the album for her (that I already believe was named prior to considering “Kelebrate”). Kelly lacks confidence and displays nothing but uncertainty with this project and her music. She has 0 follow through and she appears to be inspired by Rihanna’s fashion sense(where’s the hair Kelly???). I just think that Kelly should look at her options as an actress on the small screen; consider a sitcom Kelly!

And we believe that we’ve given Kelly enough time to have finished an album and be on the third single by now and that she would be on some mini tour with some other artists when B was getting ready to release.
Beyonce told me that she doenst care anymore what the Kelly stans have to say because anything she does will be seen as her trying to take Kellys shine.
We then agreed that there is no “shine” to take and that the time has come for teh return of the queen b****.

Fans and Kelly can blame the label all they want, but her music is mediocre. Out of all the songs we’ve heard, only 1 or 2 have been fire. She just doesn’t get the best material and when she does, she doesn’t know what to do with it.
I honestly think Kelly should just quit trying to be a US artist, make UK dance music and have a career there. The U.S. isn’t checking for her anymore. LeToya who has had substantial R&B hits has a hard enough time; what makes Kelly stans think that she’s going to do any better?

The only person who is stopping Kelly from success is Kelly. Although I love some of the songs put out from this “album” so far, Kelly is really nothing to jump up and down about. Sorry to say it, but Kelly will most likely never jump off in the music industry by herself. Kelly could have the best produced song with the best producers in the world, and still not be a huge success solo wise. Kelly just doesn’t have the X-Factor as a solo artist, I wish her and her team would realize this and just move on. Mathew knew this, but still supported her efforts. Put out the album, and get whatever money they can from it and move on.

I as well have artists who I like and think who should get way more shine than they currently get, but they don’t. It is what it is. Not every artist is going to be able to get in the door. Look at Kat Deluna, I love her but she doesn’t get any type of recognition.

Album flopped before it even came out
I am a die hard Kelly fan. Loved all of the singles, except for Forever and a Day. The songs and snippets I have heard – Commander, Grown Woman, On and On, Just Whisper, Rose Colored Glasses, and Shake Them Haters Off were good in my opinion. Kelly actually, had a great album on her hands, IF SHE GAVE IT CHANCE!!! But the constant push backs, switching singles for releases, uncertainty about the album’s title and so on and so forth is just redundant now. You don’t always need a number 1 single to have a hit album. Albums have sold very well without reaching number 1 on the US Billboard Charts. And quite frankly, music release here in America right now is borderline crap with a some tolerable music in between. And I am an American saying this. Kelly actually has a great chance at being a very successful international artist outside of close-minded America. But for some insane reason, she is hellbent on trying to break domestic ground. Sighs. I’m just tired of this woman and her obvious lack of confidence in her own artistic work. She keeps going this route and not many people will give a damn about her album, if it ever sees the light of day.
