R&B songstress Monica’s latest single surfaced last week in preview form; today, owever, the full version has materialized.
Put simply, I’m really liking this one. The Bryan Michael Cox produced mid-tempo manages to serve up a hard-hitting beat which is still able to compliment Monica’s vocals, while not compromising her ‘sound’. Ludacris’ feature works surprisingly well too. Great track.

It has grown on me more than the first time I heard it but I’m still wanting more from Monica. I don’t think this is by far some of her best work. I really liked that Stargate track she did on that reality show. I really think she’s gonna bring it on this new album nonetheless.

The songs nice. I think at this point in the game I like to see monica write some of her own hits. These new comers are able to write perform and dance circles around the monica’s and brandy’s of the industry. I hope she assembles a good team of writers to fill the album with much better material then her last two attempts. SHe as always performs well with what shes handed the beat is one of b C** finest if nothing else.

This better be her first single. The song makes a statement. It is MONICA'S ANTHEM. The people who have been supporting her from day one know her story, and alot of us if not all of us can relate to "going through". I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been through something or knows someone who's been through something that should have broken me/them,but in adverse made me/them much stronger. This song speaks to me. I almost cried along with Monica when I saw 'The Single'. She gave her team a hard way to go,but they came through for her. B.C** produced a CRAZY track (you can get lost in it;and that's a good thing)and ADONIS! Where did this man come from? He is a GIFTED writer. Absolutely incredible. Monica is and will always be an R&B front-runner. Her voice is unparalleled. I can't wait for this album. I can't wait for an official 1st single (which I'm praying is "Still Standing"). Funny how Brandy’s Right Here (Departed) track, is the same pop fluff garbage Monica said she does not want on her new album (in her show, the Comeback. Monica is more vocally talented and has real life material a la Mary J/ Keshia Cole. Brandy has always followed trends and “pop and b”, a la Rihanna..
