The third incarnation of the 1937 classic co-stars Bradley Cooper, who makes his directorial debut with the flick.
Cooper’s character is Jackson Maine, who discovers an unknown yet talented singer named Ally (Gaga). As her career rockets, Jackson begins to realize that his best days may be behind him.
After a two-stepping between release dates, ‘A Star Is Born’ will officially land in theaters on October 5th via Warner Bros.
Thus far, it already has award buzz and, after watching the trailer, it figures. It looks amazing!

TBH, I’ve seen the movie and I actually don’t see how it would’ve worked with Beyonce at all. I am assuming the original music would’ve been different because the way it is now, it would not have suited Beyonce.
Bey turned this movie down. I don’t see why people are hating on her and saying she would not have done well in a movie she was not going to be in. Gaga was NOT “a better choice” because Gaga was not in competition with anybody for the role. Thus, there was no “choice”.

It actually looks good, but from the trailer they make it seem like the character played by Bradley is the real star of the movie instead of Gaga.
Actually that is the premise of the original movie, its just that the women that were cast in the singer role were A-list stars that overshadowed the male lead stars in all the versions (Judy Garland/Barbara Streisand/Gaga)

Am I the only one that thinks this looks like a steaming pile of garbage? It looks laughable and awkward because both actors really don’t fit together. Gaga’s pared down look in this doesn’t even match her over-the-top Broadway style vocals. Plus, there’s no need to remake a movie that had been done twice before. I doubt it will live up to either of the previous versions.

Beyoncé is going to be in the Lion King, a movie that will probably quadruple the profit made from this movie. I have a problem with gay males pitting these female artist against each other. It shows that despite being gay, they still are just as misogynistic as their straight counterparts.
I don’t think anyone saying Beyoncé wouldn’t fit in this has ever seen the other three versions of this. Her singing would’ve matched the movie perfectly, it’s the acting that would be in question.

Beyonce´s movie (where she is not the star or costar like Gaga is here) will be a blockbuster. Different types of flicks. Of course Lion King will do 15 times more at the box office, with or without Beyonce. Question here is: could Beyonce do this Gaga´s role? Answer: nope, she´s a terrible actress 🙂
