The 2018 BET Awards are under way and, as ever, you can expect That Grape Juice to be bringing you the performances shortly after they air on television.
Held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, the ceremony – which celebrates achievements in music, sports, movies, TV, and more – is set to shine with performances from Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Yolanda Adams, Miguel, Janelle Monae, and more.

Im NOT impressed by the show so far. And Jamie Foxx is not Helping at all. HOPE it gets better…….
Nicki Minaj stole Lil Kim’s entire spicy song swag: “I got 250 on my wrist”, red lips displayed in neon lights, and the red outfit. Nicki will never be able to say she doesn’t know Lil Kim when she is Lil Kim 2.0. Shame!
At least she’s not petty and says things like, “I don’t know her,” which was made famous by Mariah Carey. Nicki will tell that b**** to her face.
The only thing Nicki is going to keep doing is popping dem percs (allegedly), smoking laced blunts and drinking until she gets drunk. Then try to hide the effects with a bunch of makeup and perch naked on a tree branch. What queen have you seen on a tree branch? Where is her throne? I guess she’s Queen of the Jungle. But thank you for acknowledging that she is still stealing from the one and only Queen Bee.

Yes Nicki has copied a lot from Kim, but NO ONE is trying to copy that Spicy song.
Jamie has not been funny at all. He made things uncomfortable bringing artists/actors on stage without warning to repeat lines like a puppet. No one asked for that and then Jamie keeps wondering how the energy got sucked out of the room. This year’s show has been bad going all the way back to the pre-show. Where are the surprises? Bring out Tevin Campbell, a 702 reunion, anything but what they’re doing!!
Tye Tribbett had the most energetic performance of the night and we didn’t even get to see the whole thing. BET shows such little respect for gospel music. The only thing people will remember from this year’s awards show is that it was the worst since they started in 2001. Just terrible.
Not watching, did they say anything about XxX?
The only acknowledgement so far came from meek Mill, who actually had a powerful message and performance. he wore a sweater with his picture

Ledisi blew me (and Anita Baker) away. I am not that familiar with her music, so I had no idea she had that kind of range.
