With You is a nice single. I like that song alot. This song I like a lot too. To each their own but I do agree that her releasing a smash as the 1st single should have taken place already. With that said, her last album was lead with a smash #1 single (Beautiful) but the album did not do well by MC sales standards.

I wish they had released a With You remix, instead of releasing a new song on iTunes. New beat, new vocals, 1 or 2 rap features. MC has some of the best remixes ever. Don’t even get me started with the Thank God I Found You remix. Love her vocal style on that one. Soulful, effortless, no layering, just raw vocals.
Looking forward to the album. I hope there will a be a deluxe edition because 10 tracks after a 4 year gap is not much. Ok it’s about quality not quantity but 12 at least would have been nicer.

Had two listens – i like it – vocally it’a a good place for Mariah and doesn’t grate on the ear. It sounds current (good for the casual listener) but notable for the fans is that all the tracks released so far from Mariah are lacking the trademark vocal belts, whistles and theatrics – esp compared to MIAM which had (and executed well) more layers than an Eskimo just out of the bath in mid winter ❄️ ???????????? True, it doesn’t feel like she’s chasing the charts – just like she’s having fun. Do you Mimi but turn in another cohesive body of work please so you don’t break your streak.

This sounds way frsher and current than the other two songs. This could totally be played on radio and everywhere. See? I´ve been saying it for years. Mariah´s voice cannot do the same things, so she should embrace a different style, one that doesn´t require that much vocal stamina but still sounds fresh, current and good. The best songs and artists of the last years like Lorde for example are not great singers. You can make great songs with quality with technically basic vocals. Mariah definitely can do that, especially when her voice without the big showings is more special than most out theer anyway. She just has to embrace it and work with more and different people. This one was more like a change. Same way #beautiful was at the time. And people liked that one. She needs FRESH!
