August Alsina made a surprise appearance at the Charlotte, NC stop of Tasha Cobbs‘ ‘Revival Tour’ and blew the roof off the building.
Together, the R&B star and the Gospel force united for a potent performance of ‘You Know My Name’ from Cobbs’ album ‘Heart. Passion. Pursuit.’
The showing comes after a testing time for Alsina, who battled back to health following a series of health hardships.

August sounds the best he has sounded in a long time.
His vocal always had potential, but tended to skew towards nasal terrain. But here it sounds rich, tactile in its delivery of power and restrain, and an all-round delight to hear.
