As global legends go, few can rival the worldwide notability of Janet Jackson.
Crowning a year filled with accolades, the Queen of Pop was on-hand in Hong Kong today to attend the 2018 MNET MAMAs.
She was at the popular show to pick up the Worldwide Inspiration Award, an honor she’s wholly deserving of.
While in the building, the ‘Made For Now’ singer caught up with international Pop sensations BTS, who were filled with praise for her.

I like the new wig. I like her messages in her speeches lately BUT I really wish she would release a new album with a lot of what she has been saying….Rhythm Nation 2 with a twist hopefully. I LOVE all of her albums. Velvet Rope is my favorite but I got into her older albums later on after falling in love with her music on Velvet Rope. Rhythm Nation, Control, and Janet are EXCELLENT albums. Also, I wish she would tour overseas too. It has been WAY TOO LONG since she did an overseas tour.

I still don’t know how I feel about the styling choice, BUT I am certainly here for accolades for Ms. Jackson. This is especially poignant given the attempts to erase her impact which is why people like @Generous Queen are so misguided. Other than Madonna, there has been no female more impactful on pop star hopefuls in the last 20 years. If not for Janet’s success, blogs like this one would have little to talk about and today’s women would have a much smaller instruction manual for success. Go on, Miss Janet, and I hope you’re working on new music…
