Disney drumming up buzz for their summer blockbuster ‘Aladdin.’
Set to fly into theaters on May 24th 2019 worldwide, recent months has seen the live-action remake teased in earnest.
However, today brings with it the first, full-length trailer for the hotly anticipated flick/
Newcomers Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott star as Aladdin and Jasmine respectively, while and Hollywood heavyweight Will Smith appears as Genie. A move its hoped will magnetise the masses.
As for what folk can expect from the re-telling of the the classic story, director Guy Ritchie promises that the narrative “has been revamped to reflect present-day ideals.”

With the 1992 original generating a colossal $500 million and being held up (to this day) as one of the most successful animated films ever, expectations are high. Sky high.
Some have been sceptical, but we’re liking what we see.

Yeah this is total foolery, Will Smith as the genie wtf!? I mean I wouldn’t have mind his voice on a cgi. But looking at his dumbo ears covered in blue paint… this is just another live action smurf movie meets that national treasure.
Not a fan of these live action remakes. It looked better as a cartoon. And honestly, none of these actors catched me. So, won‘t be watching it.
Y’all worried about Will and the biggest disappointment to me is Jafar! I respect the fact that Will isn’t TRYING to be or replace Robin Williams (could never happen) and he’s bringing a different element. BUT JAFAR?! That dude is NO Jafar… Jafar’s voice was reminiscent of Scar’s and this dude is basic af
EXACTLY! He is in no way, shape or form JAFAR!!! AT ALL!!! And can’t convince me different. And Jasmine should be more striking. *sighs* oh well
They are all weak. Aladdin misses the IT factor, jasmine is pretty but looks quite boring and jafar is nonexistent
The film appears to be miscast from top to bottom. None of the actors show charisma. Will singing “Friend Like Me” was so so wrong.
