As if “Grammy winner,” “multiplatinum-selling artist,” “singer,” “songwriter,” and “producer” aren’t enough titles for Pop singer Justin Timberlake and rapstress Missy Elliott, now the two have added “doctor” to that list.
Honored by Berklee College of Music’s commencement on Saturday (May 11) at Boston’s Agganis Arena for their respective achievements and contributions to the art, the honor comes as a historic feat for Elliott who is now the first Hip-Hop artist to receive this honor from the prestigious academic institution. Add to this, Missy is also set to become the only female Hip-Hop artist to ever be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame next month (click here to read more).
As we extend our congratulations to both artists, look inside for photos and video:

CREATE YOUR OWN LANE!!!! Sincerely Dr. MISSY ELLIOTT????@Berkleecollege??? #VA #757
Congrats Missy.
Congratulations to you Jasmine on finally having your s** change operation you’re now a Asian woman.
Missy could’ve been enough we don’t need that troll
Now you know giving the most innovative, creative and ahead-of-her-time producer, singer, rapper, songwriter, VISIONARY the stage alone simply would not do in America. We needed an imitator to dull her shine. Timbaland is why Justin is popular. Timbaland and Missy should be receiving this honor.
Ok so Justin never got popular from being in Nsync…? Damn racist fool, grow up!
‘Honorary’… congrats all the same…
