Despite critical panning for her contributions to the women’s network, ‘Queen of All Media’ Wendy Williams is no stranger to seeing her ventures with Lifetime reign over TV ratings (see: Aaliyah biopic, more).
Now, after years of murmurs, they’re joining forces again to bring her own life story to the small screen via an authorized biographical film.

Tapping ‘Girls Trip’ producer Will Packer to assist, Williams is producing her own biopic for Lifetime. Set to air in 2020, the film will chronicle her humble beginnings to meteoric rise to radio and (later) TV fame, battle with drugs, other health-related issues, marital woes, and more. Leigh Davenport is reportedly penning the script.
The forthcoming recount of the 55-year-old’s life comes 11 years after the release of Williams’ autobiography, ‘Wendy’s Got the Heat.’ The book was reportedly afforded a $3 million budget to be turned into a film, starring Robin Givens in the title role (as we reported here).
It never saw the light of day.

Its gonna be sanitized to DEATH to portray her as this innocent “personality” who didn’t exploit people’s problems and sh!t on individuals to get where she is. No thanks.
