Discussion about Summer Walker‘s meteoric rise to fame has only been matched (or arguably eclipsed) by the drama surrounding her personal life.
When not making headlines for her tumultuous relationship with producer London on Da Track (including highly publicized beefs with the mothers of his children), the singer-songwriter is bemoaning her alleged mistreatment in the music industry. For example, this time last year the 24-year-old promised she would not ‘making another song after 2020.’
And though she followed the threat 10 months later by teasing the creation of her yet-titled sophomore album, the recent birth of her daughter seemingly has her questioning her future in the business again.
Just days after giving birth to her first child (as we reported here), the ‘Playing Games’ singer took to Instagram to suggest she was tired of playing games with the ‘powers that be’ in the music industry (as seen above).
“I legit hate this job, lol,” said Summer. “Why can’t I just put out music [without] stalkers being obsessed with my private life.”
While it wasn’t immediately clear if she was joking or not, Walker concluded her post by expressing a desire to change her career path.
“I need to start figuring out my next job.”
