‘The Strays’ has arrived on Netflix and drumming up ample buzz.
Anchored by Ashley Madekwe, the psychological thriller chronicles the story of an upper-middle-class woman named Neve whose meticulously crafted life begins to come undone with the arrival of two mysterious figures in her town. When help from trusted sources fails to materialize, she’s left with more questions than answers – with one of the most central questions she finds herself asking being whether she’s going crazy.
Directed by Nathaniel Martello-White, the film sees Madekwe star alongside Jorden Myrie and Bukky Bakray.
Ahead of its release, That Grape Juice‘s Maya Egbo sat down with Madekwe and Myrie who opened up about the compelling narrative, the conversations about race that it’s poised to spark, comparisons to Jordan Peele’s ‘Get Out,’ the jaw-dropping ending, and much more.
