After much speculation about who had been approached, organizers have announced that Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, British supergroup Take That, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, and Freya Ridings will all be performing at the concert.
Set to take place before an audience of 20,000 at Winsor Castle, the concert will be anchored in themes of love, respect, and optimism.
King Charles III appointed Perry an Ambassador to the British Asian Trust in 2020, while her fellow American Idol judge Richie serves as an Ambassador of the monarch’s beloved charitable entity, The Prince’s Trust.
Produced by BBC Studios, the coronation concert will be broadcast on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2, and BBC Sounds.
