Side cuts like Hotline, ooh Baby and Lookin’ at you are still very refreshing today. Wonder if they will remove the next to you song since R.Nelly is featuring. It’s a hidden gem. Her first flop was releasing And I instead of Next to you.
This is the truth. Next To You was an easy hit following Oh. Album full of hits.
Next to you bring better than AND I is an extremely bad take. & Rkelly was barely even on the song, the feature was completely unnecessary and wasted. AND I was the only song as good as the first 3 singles.
Next to you is one of my favs from that album but And I was seriously underrated.

My only problem with this album which was definitely a GOOD strong debut… the song OH should have been track 3 not 5. It would’ve sounded so much better after 12 Step sonically.
Hard to believe there was ever a time OMARION, BOW WOW, ASHANTI, AMERIE & CIARA were all HEAVY WEIGHTS. 😆 🤣 😂
Amerie was always in her own lane, sonically. But this was definitely a great time for music. Everybody that was put on were actually talented.

I love when artists do this..anyway my kids be in aww when I do the exact step by step choreography to Goodies and Oh..esp when I do the split screen thing..they always want me to do it over and over..I be tired hell but those two videos to dance to is fun as hell..always have been..same for any Aaliyah video that she had dance sequences to..anywayzers this is the Ciara I miss
