Viewers are still buzzing about the EPIC tribute to Usher at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday night (June 30).
An exquisite toast to the groundbreaking R&B star’s 30-year career, the event’s organizers called on some of this generation’s best and brightest stage blazers to render rocking renditions of his greatest hits including ‘Nice & Slow,’ ‘U Make Me Wanna,’ ‘Superstar,’ ‘There Goes My Baby,’ and more.
And while the likes of Tinashe, Chloe Bailey, Coco Jones, KeKe Palmer, Donald Glover, and Marsha Ambrosius took turns making the audience drop jaws at their respective performances, it was the ‘Bad Girl‘ combo of Teyana Taylor and Victoria Monet that drove viewers at-home and in-person absolutely wild.
As social media continues its collective tongue-wagging at their sultry tag-team, the dynamic duo took to Instagram to give each other praise for the show-stopping moment.

Taking to IG on Monday afternoon (July 1), Taylor had nothing but complimentary things to stay about Monet and her other tribute co-stars.
“Idk how me and @victoriamonet pulled this off in under 48 hours with our crazy schedules but we did & we don’t regret one moment of it knowing that we had an assignment that needed to be OVERstood for one of the GOATS,” she said to her 17.5 million followers on the platform. “Believe me when I tell you we’d do it all over again & wouldn’t change a thing!”
Elsewhere in the lengthy post (seen above) Taylor gave a nod to all of the tribute’s performers including KeKe Palmer, Tinashe, Chloe Bailey, Donald Glover, Coco Jones, Summer Walker, Latto, and Marsha Ambrosius.
Her sentiment was echoed Monday night when Victoria took to Instagram to give her share of shout-outs.

“Thank you for taking this on with me!! The way you pulled this off after flying across the world, jet lagged straight into rehearsal, your two beautiful baby girls in rehearsal with you, PLUS the bruised knees from that damn floor work, personal emotional tribulations and EVERYthing..this really just shows and proves once again what a complete superstar you are,” the GRAMMY winner said to her 1.9 million followers on IG. “For the first time ever, there were TWO bad girls!! We had each other’s backs the whole time and managed to laugh deliriously through the lack of sleep lmao! A true ROSE! We did that. YOU did that. I thank you.”
