A seismic effort, the enchanting movie has been split in two – with its hotly anticipated sequel set to arrive on November 21, 2025.
That Grape Juice caught up with director Jon M. Chu, who opened up in earnest about the processes of piecing together the breathtaking first chapter.
He also dished on ‘Wicked Part Two,’ revealing that “it’s about consequences” and adding that Erivo and Grande are “fantastic” in the sequel.

Looking forward to it. I really enjoyed Wicked Part one. They’re both fantastic in it. I haven’t been able to stop listening to the soundtrack. No one mourns the Wicked (soundtrack version) is so beautiful and everybody’s vocals on it sound so clear. Much, Much clearer than in the actual film.
