Undoubtedly at the forefront of many a polarized opinion, ‘Left Eye‘ Rapper Kreayshawn has recently spoken out on why she believes so many are against both she and her creative cause.
Sure to strike up many an uncomfortable debate, her comments come just days after she sat down with That Grape Juice to discuss this very issue.

Speaking to NBC’s Carson Daily, she confessed:
There’s a lot of people who want to push you down, one for being a female and one for being white.
In Oakland, that’s how I grew up. It’s so multicultural, you don’t really see color. Hip-hop was created for everybody to come together. Hip-hop is a culture for all races.

well hip hop was a subculture for blacks and an expression for their pain at the time. it later became commercial and companies are using it to sell products, and rappers, some, are conforming to the new trend of what rap is and are not being themselves rather being commercialized rappers. anyways, it is not because she is a female or white, it is bc she sucks. she has no flow and lacks talent as a rapper. she sounds like a white suburban rapper who is making a class project and is trying to rap and thinks that getting cornrows is a joke etc etc. not saying she thinks corn rows are a joke, but she sounds like a white kid who just found rap 2 yrs ago, started rapping jus for a class project n thinks rap is the “yo yo yo” n gang signs. Also just had to say this, having white fans doesn’t make u a sell out, u going out your way to get white fans makes u a sell out. I’m pretty sure that if she wasn’t white, Columbia would not have offered her a 1 million dollar contract. Her race only adds to the novelty factor, and that’s really only where the race-based criticism comes from.
