The Oscar and Emmy-winning actress is set to star in and produce a reimagining of David Mamet’s 1987 classic film ‘House of Games’, currently in development at Amazon MGM Studios.
Davis will produce through Juvee Productions, alongside Julius Tennon and Melanie Clark, reinforcing her commitment to championing compelling, layered stories both in front of and behind the camera.
She’ll be joined by Yahya Abdul-Mateen, who will also star and produce via his company, House Eleven10.
The original ‘House of Games’, written and directed by David Mamet, followed psychiatrist Margaret Ford as she becomes entangled in the high-stakes world of gambling while trying to help a patient manage his anxiety.
While details about the reimagined film continue to unfold, including its cast and creative direction, an official release date has not yet been announced.
