Halle Bailey has earned many honors over the course of her soaring career, but the latest may be the most personal and most rewarding yet.
The ‘Little Mermaid’ star was recognized as a woman who advocates on behalf of women and their maternal health.
Since giving birth to her son, Halo, in 2023, Bailey has been candid about her struggles postpartum.
The 25-year-old was awarded by the nonprofit Project Pit at the launch of its first Maternal Health Summit on August 16 atBaldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza. Its initiative spotlights maternal health issues and solutions for women, particularly those in Black and Brown communities.
Head below to see what Bailey said of the salute below:
Speaking on the honor, the multihyphenate said:
“I want to thank the City of Los Angeles for this incredible honor. To be recognized for speaking up about maternal health and my own postpartum journey is really humbling ❤️just a reminder that vulnerability is not a weakness, it’s the bridge that connects us all.”

The salute comes after Bailey’s well-documented issues with ex DDG regarding their son.
Kudos to her for using her platform to spotlight such an important cause; the honor is deserved.

Halle, Sza, Cardi, Beyonce… repeat!
Zzz
TGJ and mainstream media ..
That’s what they do to manipulate people’s opinions!
Manipulating b****!
Keep in mind, she was acting psychotic BEFORE she was pregnant.
She just loves getting away with her craziness and she is trying to run it in everyone’s face. Sure her lawyers put her up to this to look like she’s now fit to be the sole custodian of Halo and no longer acting crazy in the name of Post Partum.
Sorry ma’am we not falling for it…
She has a wicked soul. A great mother that starves her child privilege of an active father 🤔 what does that really make her = 👹👺Men raise men. Baby Halo 👶🏽deserves a father 🥺💔
