Speaking on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, the 37-year-old shared that she didn’t lose her virginity until her 30s, admitting she had previously lied about it due to embarrassment:
“I was a late bloomer. I lied about it for a long time.”
The singer explained that the decision was intentional, rooted in a promise she made to herself years earlier.
“I promised myself when I was younger that I wouldn’t have sex until I won a Grammy.”
That milestone came in 2020, when she picked up multiple awards, including Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Truth Hurts.’ According to the performer, the moment happened shortly after her big night.
