As K. Michelle saddles up to ride to the top of Billboard charts with her long-awaited debut Country album ‘Jesus & Whiskey,‘ the multi-Platinum songstress is giving fans yet another taste from the project ahead of its October 16 arrival.
Weeks after garnering critical acclaim for the delivery of its title track as the lead single, Michelle (born Kimberly Pate) has introduced the new song ‘Yodel.’
Co-written with Tomy Gé, Kelly Sheehan, David Mescon, and Thomas Edwards, the tune sees the R&B-turned-Country diva flex the skills that earned her a music scholarship to Florida A&M University as a teenager.
“I’m callin’ for a cowboy, yeah / Need a cowboy, yeah / Rough, rugged and raw / That’s the kind of man I need,” she wails over Kristian Bush production. “Hear the stampede comin’ / When they hear me say / Yodel-eh-hee.”
