Vindication for Naomi Campbell.
The supermodel has successfully overturned the five-year ban that blocked her from serving as a charity trustee. Crucially, a tribunal found that she had been “deceived” over the most serious misconduct at her Fashion for Relief organization.

Campbell challenged the 2024 sanction after insisting that she did not know about the financial wrongdoing at the charity she founded in 2005.
Now, the First-Tier Tribunal has found that fellow trustee Bianka Hellmich concealed the most serious misconduct from her.
Its ruling stated:
“Ms Campbell was not involved in, and did not know of, that conduct.”
The panel went further. It found Campbell’s evidence and conduct during the charity’s operation to be “entirely honest.”
Fashion for Relief shut down in 2023 after a Charity Commission investigation uncovered serious mismanagement. Its findings included charity funds being spent on luxury hotel costs, spa treatments, room service and cigarettes.
However, the tribunal found that Campbell did not know those expenses had been charged to the charity. It also ruled that she was not responsible for the inappropriate spending.
The panel further found that Hellmich deceived Campbell with forged documents and a false email address that appeared to belong to the model. Hellmich has previously denied Campbell’s allegations.
Campbell did not escape criticism entirely.
The tribunal said she bore some responsibility for administrative failings, including late accounts and inadequate meeting records. Still, it concluded that those issues did not justify disqualification.
Reacting to the decision, the fashion icon said:
“Giving back has been part of who I am, so having that questioned hurt deeply.
Now I can get back to what matters most to me: being there for the people and communities I’ve always wanted to serve.”
