For, earlier this week she promised her fans a ‘Holiday Surprise’ and surprise them she did when she delivered the ‘Global Christmas Extravaganza Concert‘, a virtual showing beamed across various locations in Europe as part of T-Mobile’s ‘Life’s For Sharing’ series.

I love Mariah but if she’s gonna make statements about her voice being stronger since giving birth, she needs to show that or else her fans will be left disappointed.

Anyone who’s been paying attention to Mariah’s performances over the last 10 / 15 years should know by now that there are very few songs she ever sings completely live – as shown here (even on ‘Oh Santa’) – she alternates between lines / verses / choruses / runs (e.g. sings one live, mimes the next and vice versa). She is every sound technician’s nightmare!
My copy of ‘The Adventures of Mimi’ DVD is almost worn out rom paying attention to this sort of stuff, because she even does it in concert (I also witnessed this on the ‘Charmbracelet’ tour) – gotta face it kids, “It ain’t whatcha do, it’s the way thatcha do it” – and that’s what gets results!
I don’t know what y’all are talking about but “Hero” was good. That was not a mess. What she did with the other songs was sing to a back track. For the most part she lips sometimes in Europe. Her voice is stronger, it’s clearer as well. “Hero” was sung very well. Haters just want something to complain about.
Sam next time you need to pay better attention “Hero” was live… Har time of hearing…

On the other hand – I guess for “That Grape Juice” singing in sub-freezing temperatures might be very easy and maybe they, or their most favorite – Beyonce, could afford destroying their vocal chords by doing so, or… they could just use a backing track instead and save their voice for some more tolerable environmental conditions…

“You’ll Find Your Way” was belted. Open your ears, she also belted in the begining. I didn’t know that you had to sing a song the same all the time. When she sounds great people still hate and call it lip syncing. Find a bridge and jump over it. She did “Hero” very well. The rest of the songs were sund beautifully.
