Continuing along the promotional trail for their latest single ‘About A Girl’, the Sugababes stopped by GMTV this morning to perform the song. Unlike the stripped back version they performed on Radio 1 yesterday, this live showing saw the ladies move a lot more.
As mentioned yesterday, the Keisha scenario was the final ‘no-no’ as to taking the group that seriously, however with each performance of this song, it’s hard to deny they are actually doing a great job. I mean, yes the choreography was minimalist; but with it being the Sugababes that was kinda-sorta expected (though judging by this Jade really is the best dancer). Vocally, they were very solid. Great performance.
Tidbit: Jade was getting that choreography (though it wasn’t demanding). Watch her legs compared to the other two and you’ll see what I mean.

Im a big Sugababes fan, and I like Keisha, but watching this performance its just seems to me that Jade has been in Sugbabes forever, she fits in.
Like the song, not so much this performance. It seemed very lackluster, they need to let loose a little bit and smile and flirt with the camera or something
Jade is serious! Loving her… she has arrived and sings , dances and looks better than both Heidi and Amelle! They should just make her lead : )
i agree with Ali, i could deffo see Jade sticking around for version 5 and 6 of this band when Amelle and Heidi get replaced:P
I gotta tell U, Im not checking anymore for the band, cause I was a big fan of Sugababes 2.0 and I miss Keisha so bad, but Im being real when I say that this Jade girl is working that s*** ! she has the best voice and the best moves (btw Amelle CAN NOT DANCE, God she looks so lazy on that one) killing that “routine” with ’em heels ! I give the band 5 months till Amelle gets jealous of the new girl, and then SB will be over …

I love Jade, she is amazing, It should have been Heidi who got the boot, Amelle’s got a nice husky voice (even though she’s a b**** and cant dance) and I LOVED Keisha’s voice
What sucks for me, I just really discovered their music a few months ago, after hearing Get S***. I went and bought all their albums. So far I loved the 2nd lineup the most. Maybe because they reminded me of the 90s . I came to appreciate Amelle’s role in the group, she had a very unique sound, like T-boz almost. I do like their new music, but i just cant keep buying a different product with the same name. I am a consumer, but I’m not stupid. A fan connects with an artist for a reason.
I’ll check for them next go around, if Heidi is still in the group then. Maybe after a new album that Keisha wasn’t on, I wont feel like they sold their souls to bust out in America.
P.S. we already have one Rihanna, we dont need Amelle. Secondly, I hope these girls have a backup plan, cause any of them can go at any moment. Good Luck to them though.

i agree with most on this one that jade is actually outshining both heidi and amelle…but lets get to amelle in this performance first…i’m glad to see she looks like she is eating now, because during the whole catfights and spotlights era she was looking very underweight and thank god she grew in the other half of her hair (very ‘about you know’ keisha i may add tho), however to me it looks like amelle needs a couple more months of bedrest. she looks tired as hell, the minimal dancing she seems behind on, and yes she has a raspy voice but there were parts where it sounded like her voice was gonna give out. heidi as usual, to me, is just there…nothing spectacular but keeps it moving wholeheartedly (hair looked a bit muffed tho)…and JADE…should have remained a solo artist…she was nailing the choreography, the vocal, the whole overall performance aspect…she encompassed the whole aura of the song…amelle and heidi better pump it up a noche…they look as if they were forced to do it and it’s not working out…love the live instrumental on the song tho!
p.s. jade’s dancing is most likely more on point because she has theater training (west end production of lion king) and upset they did not do ‘the drop’ at the end of the chorus…lol
