As of this week, the singer has sold over 20 million units (albums/singles) in the United Kingdom alone, this according to the Official Charts Company.
Thus far, she has sold a whopping six million albums and 14 million singles within the space of seven years.
These sales have made her the only female artist in British chart history to have featured on five #1 singles in five consecutive years, starting with ‘Umbrella’ in 2007 and the monster hit ‘We Found Love’ in 2011.
On ‘The Jay’s’ success, the Official Charts Managing Director beamed:
