‘How To Get Away With Murder‘ player Viola Davis is to portray Harriet Tubman in a new HBO movie telling the story of the visionary’s life.
A new Harriet Tubman movie is set to come out on HBO, with Kirk Ellis writing, Doug Ellin producing and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV involved in the new project, as well. Oscar nominee and How to Get Away With Murder’s Viola Davis has been chosen (to play Tubman) for the project.
The movie is based on a book about Tubman’s life called, Bound for the Promised Land, written by historian Kate Clifford. The American hero was born a slave, escaped, then through the Underground Railroad, (secret passage ways through the forest and safe houses) she helped more like 300 slaves run their way to freedom in the safe North, and later fought in the Civil War on the Union’s side.

It’s not another s**** movie it’s a biography about a black women who help pioneered the freedom of slavery Harriet and Soujoner Truth where the stepping stones to help set our African Americans free before President Abraham Lincoln ended Slavery towards the end of the 1800’s before his assassination by John Wilkes Booth if you watch the movie Lincoln and read Lincolns, Tubmans, and Truths Biographies you’ll learn something Tubman also created the underground railroad and fought against other s**** masters who tried to stop her. It’s sad kids today just don’t know there history their quick to try to quote unquote try to read a person and criticize what they do. But can’t pick up a book and read about the person the actor or actress is playing in Hollywood SMDH.
