Disney has officially announced ‘Hocus Pocus 2,’ the sequel to the 1993 film.
Aptly titled ‘Hocus Pocus 2,’ the film will reunite the original witches Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy – all of whom will reprise their original roles.
In the new film, three young ladies accidentally re-awaken the witches in modern-day Salem, Massachusetts.
The Anne Fletcher directed flick is currently confirmed for a Fall 2022 release on Disney+.
Uniquely, the original film was neither a commercial nor a critical hit upon its debut. However, it earned cult-like success after annual re-airings on the Disney Channel.

Suffice to say, this is a major masterstroke for Disney+ given how popular the original has come to be.

Nothing can replace going to the movies.
Ok it’s not like it’s a big action movie. But is this really what we’re tending to ?
Geeeez.
Most movie theaters are open and movies have been going to the theaters and to streaming apps. Everybody don’t feel safe yet, and rightfully so. People are still going out in public with symptoms contaminating things and areas. Until everything is completely tooken care of, this is how it will have to be sadly. We’ve made some great progress but we still have a ways to go.
