Having sold over 220 million records worldwide, Pop icon Mariah Carey is no stranger to seeing her name atop many-a-music tally over the last 30 years.

In late 2020, she proved her dominion wasn’t limited to the music realm when her memoir – ‘The Meaning of Mariah Carey’ – was placed at the pinnacle of the New York Times’ Best Seller list.

With her latest foray into authorship, the November 1-released ‘Christmas Princess,’ the 52-year-old seems poised to repeat the feat.

It’s been nearly 6 years since Chrisette Michele experienced a seismic backlash for singing at the inauguration of former U.S. president Donald Trump, but the R&B diva continues to grapple with the effects of the fall from grace.

The boycott launched against her at the time saw her music streams and sales steeply drop, which led to difficulty filling concert venues on tour and eventually saw her dropped from her record label.  As if the professional woes weren’t doing enough damage, she later revealed the impact the downfall played in the dissolution of her marriage to Doug “Biggs” Ellison.

Because action on the latter is ongoing, the Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram to describe how the process has taken an emotional toll despite her best efforts to soldier on.

It’s been two years since Busta Rhymes rocketed ‘Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God’ to the top 10 of the Billboard 200, but the Hip-Hop legend recently lifted a toast to the critically acclaimed set by unveiling the official music video for its housed cut, ‘You Will Never Find Another Me.’

Assisted by Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige, the previously unreleased visual – directed by Colin Tilley – sees Bussa Buss portray the everyday-man whose life is being protected by a guardian angel.

“Once I was built, God broke the mold / No matter how many clones you make / They can’t touch my throne,” Blige belts on the emotional track.

As if anticipation for the November 11 arrival of the ‘Black Panther’ sequel, ‘Wakanda Forever,’ hadn’t already reached a feverish pitch, the unveiling of its official soundtrack will definitely send excitement for the film into overdrive.

Ahead of its theatrical release, Roc Nation Records – in conjunction with Def Jam Records and Hollywood Records – have lifted the lid on the 19-song project produced by the film’s director Ryan Coogler as well as composer Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis (chief creative officer at Def Jam), and Dave Jordan.

Featuring big names like Future, Burna Boy, Stormzy, Tems, E-40, Fireboy DML, and others, the soundtrack is most famously kicked off by the heart-wrenching tune ‘Lift Me Up’ –  the long-awaited musical return of Rihanna.
