The docu-series sees the Destiny’s Child star and solo Grammy winner team up with renown creative director Frank Gatson to piece together music’s next big girl group.
More ‘Making The Band’ than ‘The X Factor,’ the show promises a no holds barred look into what it takes to be a top tier entity.
To whet appetites, the first trailer has been unleashed. What are you waiting for? Watch below…
The R&B chanteuse was set to hit the road on the second leg of her ‘Jackie Tour’ this Spring. However, in a candid message to fans, the ‘I Bet’ belter announced that the trek has been postponed indefinitely.
Why?
Because she’s working on her seventh studio album!
Following Adele’s decision to throw her support behind the ‘Backstabber’ chanteuse at the BRITs two nights ago, the entertainer has learned that her fans staged a protest outside Sony headquarters in a bid to see her freed from the contract which ties her to her alleged rapist.
Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ features, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest reflective segment to act as a written quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday. Unlike its TGJ retrospective predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.
This week we believe it’s about time we revisit ‘Believe’ – the 22nd album of pop icon Cher.
Word has it Kelly Rowland is gearing up to unleash new music and visuals imminently.
Still, she took time away from her many ventures to attend the Essence Black Women In Hollywood galalast night in Los Angeles.
Looking lush, Ms. Kelly turned heads for all the right reasons and will no doubt be aiming to do the same with her new material. We’re hearing it’s EPIC.
For now, though, gander more gorgeous snaps after the jump….
Fifth Harmony have uncaged their brand new single ‘Work From Home.’
The anthemic cut is the lead release from the quintet’s second studio album ‘7/27,’ which arrives via Epic Records on May 20th.
On a mission to prove that they are playing approximately no games, Normani, Dinah, Ally, Lauren, and Camila have premiered the track’s accompanying video.
As ‘Pillowtalk’ continues to make its dent on the Hot 100, Zayn Malik wastes no time in building anticipation for his solo debut album, ‘Mind of Mine’ (March 25th), by dropping its followup ‘It’s You.’
Officially introduced via live performance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ last week, now fans are invited to greet its accompanying music video (unveiled just moments ago).
Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.
So, just as our retrospective features ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay’ allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind – a variation of our current Retro Rewind assay – accedes salutes to an entire era of music history.
This week, we wanna take you back to ‘Wannabe’ – the debut single from history-making Brit girlband Spice Girls. After making a splash on the U.K. side of the pond in late 1996, the single was sent to test the waters in the U.S. at the top of the following year. History would show the girls passed the test with flying colors.
Ending the extensive reign of Toni Braxton‘s ‘Unbreak My Heart,’ the funky song shot to the Hot 100’s top spot after only 5 weeks. Lodged there for the 4 weeks that followed, ‘Wannabe’ may have catapulted the quintet into the pop stratosphere, but interestingly it would be their first and last time occupying the chart’s top slot.
Currently touted as one of the best-selling singles of all time by any female group, the pop cult classic also remains their signature tune. Take a listen after the jump and see what other familiar faces you remember from the top 25 this week in 1997… (more…)
In what appears to be another episode of “Somebody Pissed in Elton John‘s Cereal,” the piano-tickling legend wasn’t exactly in a laughing mood when quizzed on his thoughts on one of music’s most celebrated stageblazers – Janet Jackson.
Slamming the songstress with claims of lip-syncing, similar to those he hurled at her fellow pop queen Madonna years ago, John went all the way in and off on Jackson in his recent sit down with Rolling Stone magazine.
The reports already have JanFans in a furor, many of whom have taken to Twitter to speak out against the ever-outspoken ‘Tiny Dancer’ divo. Did you miss any of the action? It awaits below:
