Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss has carved out quite the post-Xscape career thanks to her entrepreneurial endeavours.

However, last night’s episode brought music back to the forefront for the heavily pregnant talent.

She was shown shooting a video for former cast-mate Demetria McKinney‘s new single ‘Unnecessary Trouble.’

Directed by Derek Blanks, the clip sees Kandi – who has penned hits such as ‘No Scrubs’ and ‘Bug A Boo’ – in familiar territory, playing the truth-telling friend who spills on a no-good-man.

Borrowing a talk-show theme, the visual makes for an engaging watch.

‘Rolling in the Deep’ diva Adele has been simply steamrolling the competition with her latest release ’25.’  And, as Christmas week has proven, she won’t be slowing down any time soon.

As reported here, industry analysts predicted the blockbuster album (which sold over 6 million copies as of the end of its 4th week) would sell an additional million copies its 5th week of availability.  Leave it to Addy to not only meet, but exceed the projection.

Bow Wow and Omarion‘s 2005 smash ‘Let Me Hold You’ is our pick for this week’s From The Vault.

Released during the mid-00’s in a ‘We Belong Together’ dominated landscape, the track was the launching single from the rapper’s fourth effort ‘Wanted’ and was the first of many collaborations between him and the B2K alumni.

The cut was produced by Bow’s mentor and then-it guy Jermaine Dupri alongside No I.D. and uses a sample of Luther Vandross‘ version of ‘If Only For One Night’ – originally sung by Brenda Russell.

A  huge success in America, the melodic number peaked at #4 on the Hot 100, #2 on the Hot Hip-Hop/R&B and #1 on the Hot Rap Songs tally.

Bryan Barber directed the video for the single, which – like many a 90s/00s visual – is set  at a “turnt” urban house-party. Bow Wow can be seen serenading his love interest to mixed results.

With the clip climaxing with a “to be continued” tag, its sequel came in the form of Mr Moss’ follow-up duet with former girlfriend Ciara, ‘Like You’.

**************

After this single, Bow Wow and Omarion would go on to record an album (‘Face Off’) together, similar to R.Kelly and Jay-Z a few years prior. With Hip-Hop artists getting together more and more for joint projects – like Jay and Kanye’s The Throne or Drake and Future a few months ago – which artists would you like to see get their collabo on for a Hip-Hop/R&B LP?

Your thoughts?

Throughout the year music lovers have been teased by reports claiming to have unearthed the release date of Rihanna‘s new LP ‘Anti.’

When these dates came and went without delivering the project fans were given no choice but to believe that they had been misled by publications who knew very little about the Pop sensation’s release plans.

Unfortunately, one of the project’s producers has surprised by fans by claiming that these publications were correct and that the Grammy winner has been ready to release the project at numerous points during the year.

Why he says she hasn’t done it yet?

Travis Scott.

Grammy winning crooner Chris Brown is pulling no shortage of stops on the promo trail for his latest opus ‘Royalty.’

Courtesy of a slew of visuals to accompany some of the set’s star tracks, sales forecasts place the R&B prince atop the genre’s albums’ chart yet again for the forthcoming week.  In a bid to push the numbers up from their predicted 160k perch, Brown can also be seen on the digital and print circuit dishing on the album and so much more.

One such stop that still has fans a-chatter is his visit to VIBE, as reported here.  There, Breezy can be seen posing it up and lending a number of quotes set to leave fans rooting for him.  Get into some of them below:

“I don’t pray for success. I pray for knowledge for understanding and peace of mind.  So I just try to get a peace of mind and me understanding that being at peace with my flaws and my talents. I’m cool with that. ” – Chris Brown
