After Billboard announced its plan to include streaming data on its competitive chart system, the UK’s Official Charts were praised for deciding not follow suit…adamant that ‘paid for’ sales were the only measure to be used when allocating chart positions.

Alas, in a shock move that’s set to change British music industry as the world knows it, the company have now revealed that British digital streams will now be added to British sales, redefining what it means to ‘make it’ on the charts.

Kelis continues her soulful re-incarnation in the video for new song ‘Jerk Ribs’.

Unveiled on via TIME today, the visual is the first to be lifted from new album ‘Food’ (due April 21st via Ninja Tune). The project’s second single ‘Rumble’ will see its own clip debut at a later date.

Shot with a behind-the-scenes theme, Kelis explained that “this song is the cornerstone of my album. So I wanted the video to look like my life, my love — back to the beginning.”

After moving 906,000 units in his domestic market to date, Aloe Blacc‘s ‘The Man’ stands as one of the many songs to appear on his major-label debut album, ‘Lift Your Spirit.’

However, while it’s spirits he may seek to lift, it’s his pockets that scored an elevation of sorts this year, now that’s he inked a lucrative publishing deal with David H Johnson‘s ‘Warner /Chappell Music.’

A deal, that sings to the merry tune of $2 million.

Ever eager to spread the spirit of altruism throughout the world, Beyonce‘s giving nature has inspired a culture of charity within her fan base over the years, joining the star in raising funds for many an important cause.

Today, in proving all of the above to be true, British members of the singer’s ‘BeyHive’ have announced plans to raise funds to support underprivileged children and Yosra El-Essawy, the singer’s personal photographer currently battling oesophageal cancer.

 Yesterday evening brought with it the debut episode of ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’.

Hyped in earnest, it marked the comedian’s first turn in the iconic chair – which was left vacant by departed host Jay Leno.

To help the funny-man make a major first impression, a multitude of megastars (and Kim Kardashian) stopped by for a hilarious surprise skit.

Included in the line-up were divas Mariah Carey and Lady GaGa, who both earned rapturous applause from the studio audience.

That Rihanna reign really does know no “let up”.  From the charts to the courts, it seems the pop princess’s winning scepter knows no bounds as evidenced by a reported court victory.

As unveiled here, Ri recently revealed that she neared bankruptcy in 2009 due to following poor real estate advice from accountants.
