Despite garnering his fair share of headlines over the last year (see: beef with Tory Lanez, joining the cast of VH1’s ‘Surreal Life’ reboot, seemingly coming out as gay, and more), August Alsina has been pretty quiet on the music front since taking to social media last Fall to suggest he’s hanging up the mic.

And while it’s unclear if retirement plans are still on the table for the 30-year-old, what is clear is he’s not leaving his fans hanging without one last hurrah.

The latest taste of new music from the award-winning crooner comes courtesy of new song ‘Lied To You.’

“If they tell you I came up from nothing then know that they tellin’ the truth. If they told you I been in the trenches believe ‘em they tellin’ the truth,” he croons over the Trap-inspired melody.

Believed to be one of many gems set to line the follow-up to 2020’s ill-fated ‘State of Emergency,‘ hop inside to hear ‘Lied’ in full.

Janet Jackson is hot on the promotional trail for her freshly announced ‘Together Again Tour.’

Indeed, the legend has made stops on major platforms such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Sherri Shepherd Show, and the Today Show.

The latest visit, however, came in the form of a surprise appearance at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City.

With unsuspecting dancers in the midst of a class, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer sprung up on them.

Arriving to rapturous applause, Jackson then watched with a smile as they danced to her smash ‘All For You.’

It looks like the superstar may be bringing some of them on stage with her soon too.

Da Brat has had enough of Bow Wow’s mouth and is so irked by his antics that she’s asked the 00s rapper to “pull up.”

The drama centers around their mutual collaborator Jermaine Dupri, who recently claimed that he created the ‘106 & Park’ show idea so that Black artists would have a platform similar to TRL. Continuing, the hitmaker said that he pitched the idea to BET execs with a view of building the show around a then-rising Bow Wow.

However, the latter has publicly hit back at the claims – prompting a fiery response from Da Brat.

In a rare occurrence, Lizzo became one of the few acts to serve as the musical guest twice in the same year on Saturday Night Live.

Stepping in for the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, the GRAMMY winner returned to the platform seven months after her last appearance to deliver another live offering from her ‘Special’ album.

Taking center stage, the Houston native performed ‘Break Up Twice’ from the LP, as well as ‘Someday at Christmas’ – her Amazon Music exclusive holiday song.

The showings come as Lizzo continues to slay stages on the ‘Special Tour.’

Dua Lipa is hard at work on her third studio album, but she’s still running a victory lap for its predecessor ‘Future Nostalgia.’

And the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball 2022 was her latest stop.

Taking command of London’s O2 Arena, Pop starlet Dua dazzled with sparkling showings of hits such as ‘Levitating’ and ‘Don’t Start Now.’

The appearance comes after the singer hit the studio with Mick Jagger.
